Rust College’s Patsy Johnson Named HBCUAC Offensive Player of the Week
Johnson delivered a dominant offensive stretch in two games, totaling 58 points, knocking down 17 free throws, and dishing out 14 assists to help lead the Bearcats to two conference victories over Paul Quinn College and Voorhees University.
Her scoring ability, pace, and playmaking presence were key factors in Rust's success throughout the week, as she consistently created opportunities for herself and her teammates while keeping the Bearcats' offense flowing.
"Patsy continues to be a difference-maker for our program," said Head Coach Jaleesa Sams. "Her ability to score, create for others, and lead with confidence is a big reason for our success. This recognition is well deserved, and I'm proud of the way she's been competing."
Johnson's weekly honor highlights another strong moment for Rust College women's basketball as this is her second player of the week award this season and Bearcats continue to make their mark in the HBCUAC.
